At Mobius Energy Technologies, we develop solar energy-powered electric refrigeration units for trucks and trailers. We offer green and sustainable alternatives for cold chain transportation, achieving fuel savings of 8,000 to 15,000 liters per annum per vehicle. Our proprietary technology in inverters, batteries, and solar PV powers the Thermo King refrigeration units. Founded in 2019, Mobius aims to transition the fossil fuel-based refrigerated transportation sector to cleaner, renewable energy solutions.
Mobius has closely collaborated with Thermo King, the global leader in mobile refrigeration, to gain a comprehensive understanding of client needs, develop proprietary technology, and conduct rigorous in-use testing of its mobile refrigeration solutions.
Road transport refrigeration units are currently powered by fossil fuels via diesel engines. Mobius offers a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative with electrically powered units charged by solar energy and batteries. The Mobius system powers the existing refrigeration units installed on trucks or trailers, seamlessly integrating with their operations. The diesel generator will act as a back-up which will enhance the reliability as there are 2 systems powering the refrigeration unit. The electric drive also eliminates noise and emissions pollution as it powers the entire vehicles electrics and tail lift electrics, allowing the vehicle to be completely deactivated at depot.
These solar electric units not only reduce energy costs, carbon emissions and noise pollution but also enhance reliability.
