Economic Advantages of Going Green
Mobius is aware that sustainable solutions also need to be commercially viable for transporters. Our units have offered clients payback periods of 2-3 years on products with a predicted lifespan of 12-15 years. This represents an IRR in excess of 40% on the capital investment for clients.
Clients have measured fuel savings of up to 13,000 litres of diesel per annum. This saving equates to 60% of the total fuel consumption of the entire vehicle.
Leveraging Tax Incentives for Solar Investments
SARS provides clients with a highly attractive tax incentive programme for any system that has a Solar PV component. 125% of the full capital value of the cost of the system receives a tax rebate that can be claimed in the 1st year of service (Section 12 B SARS income tax act).
